My Lovers
Each of the Lovers come from Ta’s memory and imagination : “My feelings, my memories, some good some not so good, but I try to focus on the good ones,
a dance I remember, a hug after a long time apart, or hold someone very dear to me”.
Ta loves to be bold and untamed. She experiments with vivid colours and the finest oils. Her painting style is free and fluid, and void of inhibitions. She gives her lovers plentiful and sensual curves. They have an intimacy that only lovers can share; they are free of age, origin and nationality. They are free and in tune with each other.
Egg Island characters from my book
Egg Island is full of characters and strange things, but do not be alarmed because it’s normal here.
Apart from the Egg people, dolphins sleep at the bottom of the sea, including a giant one as big as a ship and one even bigger.
Baboons who think they own the place
Firebugs as big as coconuts who light up the village
Giant turtles who protect the kids when swimming
Coconut crabs, bright orange with cat-like habits who like their belly scratched
Little bees with big eyes always sharing honey and mushrooms that produce eggs and of course Captain Thomas and his shipwrecked crew.

Conspirators
I started painting my conspirators in the early days of my career and will always be with me. I want them full of mischief and secrecy.
Each character is always up to something naughty or scheming a dodgy deal, “I want a desperado feel to it, moody as if they have something to hide, I want them anxious, so you get those staring menacing eyes”.
My Eggs
The Egg collection is a play on Ta’s childhood memories. Her mum would prepare a daily lunch box for her to take to school as there were no cooking facilities.
When the lunch bell rang, the children would sit on the floor together and eat their lunch.
Almost every other day, her mum would prepare a Thai speciality of a fried egg on rice.
The other kids would tease her and say, “Ta! fried egg again? You will begin to start looking like a fried egg soon!”.
It’s these comments that allow her to weave her childhood musings into her art in a playful way.
“I used to plead with my sister to have something different, but we had many chickens and many eggs, so it was always fried egg on rice”.
